Julian Catzim
Musa Rara is the creative project of Julian Catzim, a Mexican artist and photographer based in San Francisco. His work explores the relationship between image, thread, body, and memory through textile art, photography, embroidery, and mixed media.
What began as handmade pieces created for friends and personal projects has evolved into a visual studio where photography, textile experimentation, and recovered materials become intimate narratives.
Musa means inspiration. Rara means rare, unusual, outside the ordinary.
Together, Musa Rara represents a creative space for what feels different, emotional, sensual, and transformed.
